Milo Tells On ‘Don’t Ask’

Oft-shirtless actor Milo Ventimiglia recently came out against Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell to homo-journo Brandon Voss:

“When it comes down to it, gay or straight, you’re holding a weapon and fighting for our country, so sexuality seems irrelevant. It bothers me that in this day and age people are still looked at differently for having a sexual orientation that isn’t in agreement with an old institution such as the military. That being said, I can understand why a gay person in the military would just not want to say anything about it, because it would probably attract unnecessary attention. At the same time, it makes me sad to think that people can’t live their life openly, thinking that they won’t be accepted. “

Ventimiglia also tells Voss that his sister used to dress him up as Madonna and he wanted blogger Perez Hilton to draw cum all over his face.

Stars – they’re just like us!

Milo Ventimiglia Wants to Play Robin in Batman Film

Milo Ventimiglia wants to play Robin in a new Batman film.

The 31-year-old actor — who is dating his Heroes co-star Hayden Panettiere — is desperate to play the caped-crusader’s famed sidekick if the part should come up in a future outing to Gotham City.

He explains, “I always thought I would make a great Robin.

“I would love to be Christian Bale’s sidekick in Batman. Even when I was younger I never wanted to be Batman.

“I have always wanted to be Robin. To this day I still think that would be pretty cool.”

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that 62-year-old singer Cher won’t be playing Catwoman in a third Christopher Nolan-directed Batman film.

A spokesman for Warner Bros. said that reports the Believe hitmaker would be joining a cast including Johnny Depp as the Riddler “are untrue.”

Milo Ventimiglia Asks, ‘Want To Play A Game?’

The teaser trailer for “Game” won’t be out until the holidays — since the film was just delayed until next year — but co-star Milo Ventimiglia (”Heroes”) said it’ll be worth the wait. The game in “Game” — from “Crank” and “Pathology” creators Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor — is a futuristic multiplayer in which you can control other people. Gerard Butler’s, John Leguizamo’s, and Ventimiglia’s characters are forced to play first person games, and are considered just Sim-like avatars by the people who play them, and control their actions remotely, much like you would on a Wii.

The game is watched by millions online, and the players are pop culture heroes. But in the real world, the players are death row prisoners, who hope that playing the game will set them free. If you win 30 games, you’re out (hey, it’s one way to alleviate an overburdened prison system). Butler’s character, John Tillman — who plays under the handle Kable — is the first person to ever get close to that number.

While Butler’s Kable — who may have been falsely imprisoned — is forced to kill in the game called “Slayerz”, what Ventimiglia’s character does is “a little more disturbing,” as you might guess from his name — Rick Rape. “He’s a very misunderstood character,” Ventimiglia said. “He’s kind of loose and slippery and he doesn’t operate like a regular human being.”

Visually, he should be disturbing as well, Ventimiglia said, since the character wears a latex outfit that makes him look like “a bumblee f—ed a black widow and acts like a snake.” Quite an image.

On Set with Milo Ventimiglia, Part II

“Heroes” star Milo Ventimiglia, who plays fan-favorite Peter Petrelli on the hit NBC show, is a huge fan of comic books. Not only is the actor currently filming episodes for the third season of the comics-inspired show dubbed “Heroes Volume Three: Villains,” but he’s also teamed with Devil’s Due Publishing to launch his own comic book, “Rest,” the first issue of which is in stores now.

CBR News recently visited the “Heroes” set in Los Angeles to speak with the actor about “Heroes,” and in this second of a three-part interview with Milo Ventimigilia, he discusses with us his new book, his love for the comics medium, and what it’s like to see his image in the work of some of comics’ greatest artists.

“Rest” is about a white-collar New Yorker whose life changes when he becomes addicted to a drug that prevents him from falling asleep. “It actually came out of the writer’s strike,” explained Ventimiglia. “I had a great script from this writer named Michael Sullivan that needed a little work, but when the strike happened we couldn’t sit down and work on it so we pitched it out to a couple of comic book companies.”

On Set with Milo Ventimiglia, Part I

After a disappointing sophomore season that saw fan criticism, a drop in viewers by 15 percent and a shortened run because of the Writers Strike, the NBC telvision series “Heroes” is back this fall with a vengeance. Dubbed “Volume Three: Villains,” the season promises to address some of the complaints that fans had about the second season, which included a slow build up to the main story and the addition of new characters that took away focus from the main cast.

CBR News stopped by the “Heroes” set in Los Angeles to with Milo Ventimiglia, who plays one of the show’s chief characters, Peter Petrelli. In part one of a three-part interview, the actor speaks candidly with us about the new season, which begins airing on September 22, new cast members and the long awaited introduction of Arthur Petrelli.

Ventimiglia began by talking about how “Heroes” plans to deal with some of the fans complaints in its third season. “I think there’s always a concern that when you bring in new people that you limit your time with the old people,” said the actor. “I think that the producers have done a very good job this year of balancing that. I think they understood that when we were all separated in the second season, the fans weren’t too into that. When you bring in a new character, bring him in with a reason. Bring him in with a purpose. Don’t just pack it with a bunch of new faces that nobody knows.”

MILO PLAYS SNAPPER TO CAPTURE HAYDEN’S BIG GIG

HEROES star MILO VENTIMIGLIA turned pit photographer on Saturday (09Aug08) to capture girlfriend HAYDEN PANETTIERE’s latest allstar gig.
The actor urged event snappers to concentrate on his teenage girlfriend and not him as he tried to get shots of Panettiere’s concert with Band From TV.
One fellow snapper tells WENN, “He told us, `I’m just one of you guys tonight.’”
The actress performed with Heroes co-stars Greg Grunberg and Adrian Pasdar, James Denton and House castmates Jesse Spencer and Hugh Laurie, who all make up Band From TV.
Denton’s Desperate Housewives co-star Teri Hatcher also sang with the band at the outdoor concert at the Autry National Center of The American West.
